With more than 500 years of winemaking on the hill of Hermitage, the Chave family is the reference point of the Rhône Valley. Jean-Louis Chave, the 16th generation to run the winery, makes Chave Sélection from a series of vineyards that he has acquired or replanted over the past few decades. ‘Mon Coeur’ is a savory, dark-fruited red made with syrah and grenache from vineyards near Chateauneuf-du-Pape in the Southern Rhone.
Tastes like: Blackberry, olives, pepper, beef jerky.
How to drink: Alongside bolognese, burgers, or lamb chops.
